One important thing that a new UK blogger should consider when using Google Adsense is the fact that Google will pay UK bloggers (or any account holder) in U.S. Dollars (USD). Frankly it's a bitch, but any revenue is better than no revenue and I've yet to find a better performing and more consistent revenue than Google Adsense.
I've enjoyed much success with some affiliate programs, but when it comes to generating a single payment from my blogging/web site activities, Google Adsense is the best performer month in, month out.
When it comes to payment be sure to check with your bank regarding their charges for cashing a USD cheque. It's another cost that you'll need to consider.
Interestingly, a UK advertiser paying to be featured across UK blogs pays Google in Sterling.
I've yet to discover whether it's all relative and the payment in sterling by advertisers is simply a matter of convenience offered to UK advertisers, or whether Google are making a ton of cash playing the currency markets. I'm inclined to think it's the former.
I thought AdSense paid in local currency for publishers in the UK. Oh well, just goes to show that EFT is definitely the way forward!
