I've taken a quick break from creating the Definitive List of TypePad Templates, to put together a guide on how to change your TypePad Template. With over 70 templates now available it's very likely that you'll find one that inspires you to want to give your TypePad blog a makeover. It only takes a few minutes to do.
Worth noting that this guide is aimed at TypePad bloggers NOT using advanced templates.
Step 1: Log in to your TypePad Account, select your blog and then the 'Design' tab.
Step 2: Select 'Change Theme'
Step 3: Select 'All Themes' using the drop down menu. Then scroll your browser through the 70+ choices. You can 'preview' each template by scollling to the bottom of the page and hitting the 'preview' button.
Once you have decided on a new theme for your blog scroll to the bottom of the page and hit the 'save button.
The final step is to then publish your blog using the 'publish' button.
Some Optional Considerations
Changing the Layout of your Blog: You may want to change the layout of your blog, this is achieved by selecting the 'Design' tab again and then choosing 'Change Layout'.

Here you can choose the from 5 classic layouts (including the new '3 columns right') or 5 mixed media layouts. (shown below)
Changing the Order of your Content: You may also decide to give your blog a bit of a shake up with regards to the order in which content is shown in the menu(s). You may prefer to have comments shown before 'recent posts'.
Select the 'Design' tab again and choose 'Order Content'. You simply use your mouse to drag and drop the 'modules' in your preferred order (shown below).
Remember: Any time you make a change to your TypePad template/theme, layout or order of content, you will need to 'republish' your blog so that the changes take effect.
